Increased demand for tailored solutions drives business expansion in Cloud and unified communications. Now Telecom are expanding its team to support a further transition into the provision of Cloud (UC7) and Unified Communications (UC) services.

Co-Managing Director, Graeme Kelly, said that the company has recently secured several million dollar plus contracts as a result of expanding its product portfolio into cloud and unified communications. “We’ve seen a huge spike of interest in Cloud and UC services from mid to large sized companies over the past few months,” said Graeme. “This is from companies that want to be able to tailor an ICT solution to their specific business needs, rather than buy the fixed products and services other providers have on offer.”

The shift to Cloud having a significant impact on the IT&T market in Australia as companies realise they can build the solution that is right for the business now and can scale for the future with a pay-as-you-go model that provides freedom, flexibility and lower costs. This is putting enormous pressure on the traditional industry and overall the growth in the provision of traditional telecoms services is stagnating.

“Now Telecom is perfectly positioned to capitalise on this shift away from traditional telco service providers. We have always been able to deliver a greater depth and breadth of products and services than any other provider in the industry. What’s more we offer live, and more specifically, local support and we have an excellent track record with over 20 years experience as service providers,” said Graeme.

The company has been on an aggressive recruitment drive, recruiting several top sales executives from tier 1 companies to cope with the increasing demand.
While most telecoms companies tell the market they are focused on providing a more personalised and compelling customer experience, the big telcos simply have not allocated sufficient resources to support and service business customers and the systems and processes they have in place also leave them unable to achieve this goal.

“This is what sets us apart,” said Graeme. “We are able to respond specifically to client needs because of the nature of our business. We are not focused on one particular provider, we take the time to understand the clients business and we start from the point of view that no two businesses are the same. This way we are able to tailor an optimal solution and that makes us unique in the market,” he concluded.
